Umamusume Air Groove Figure by Banpresto: What to Expect

Quick answer

The Banpresto Umamusume: Pretty Derby Air Groove figure is an 18 cm (about 7.02 inch) display piece aimed at fans who want an authentic, affordable Umamusume Pretty Derby figure rather than a large-scale statue. Buy it if you have a shelf with roughly 20 cm of clear height and you value the character over premium materials.

What the 18 cm height means on a shelf

At 7.02 inches, Air Groove sits in the standard range for Banpresto prize figures, so she fits most bookshelf and detolf-style displays without a custom riser. Leave a little extra headroom for the base and any hair or ear details that extend above the figure's stated height, and check the depth of your shelf if you plan to place her at an angle.

If you already collect other Umamusume prize figures, this size groups well with them. If your collection is mostly 1/7 scale statues, expect Air Groove to read as noticeably smaller and lighter.

What prize-figure construction means for expectations

Banpresto prize figures are made for broad availability, not for the seam-free finish of high-end scales. Expect visible mold seams and simpler paint shading on close inspection, which is normal at this tier and not a defect. The supplied listing describes the craftsmanship as exquisite and the figure as rare; treat those as seller wording rather than a specification, and judge the piece by its size, character and authenticity instead.

The listing does not state the material, the base design, or whether any parts are interchangeable. If those details matter to you, ask before ordering rather than assuming.

Authenticity and shipping from Japan

The listing states the figure is 100% authentic and dispatched directly from Osaka, Japan, and that it is well packaged for safe delivery. For a boxed prize figure, the packaging claim matters as much as the figure itself, because a crushed box affects both display and resale. Keep the box if you store or trade figures; the listing does not describe the box condition, so confirm it if mint packaging is important to you.

Common questions about the Air Groove figure

How tall is the Umamusume Air Groove figure?

The listing gives 7.02 inches, or 18 cm. That is the figure's stated height; the base and any upward-pointing details may add slightly to the space needed. Measure shelf height and depth before ordering, not just width.

Is this a scale figure or a prize figure?

It is a Banpresto prize figure, sold at a prize-figure price rather than a scale-statue price. Finish and seam quality reflect that tier.

Is the figure authentic and where does it ship from?

The listing states it is 100% authentic and dispatched directly from Osaka, Japan, with packaging for safe delivery. It does not state the box condition. Ask about box condition if you collect sealed or mint-box items.

How should I display and care for it?

Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat to limit paint fading and warping, and dust with a soft brush rather than a damp cloth. Store the box flat if you keep it.
