Hokko Tarumae as MACOtMai Figure: BoC'z Uma Musume Buying FAQ

What you get with this BoC'z release

Which character and outfit does this figure show?

It depicts Hokko Tarumae as MACOtMai from the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby BoC'z series. The catalog identifies the brand as Bandai Banpresto and the character as Hokko Tarumae as MACOtMai, so you can match it to the concert-outfit lineup rather than a standard racing uniform.

How tall is the figure, and what does that mean for display?

The listed height is 7.8 inches (20 cm). That is a useful number for shelf planning: measure the clear space above your shelf before buying, and leave room for the figure's hair and any pose extension. The supplied record does not include a base diameter, so check your shelf depth against the figure once it arrives rather than assuming a footprint.

Is this a scale figure or a prize figure?

The record names Banpresto as the brand and describes the figure as a collectible, but it does not state a specific product line beyond BoC'z. Treat it as a Banpresto Uma Musume collectible and rely on the listed height and character details rather than assuming a scale classification.

Authenticity, condition and shipping questions

How can I tell this is an authentic Banpresto figure?

The catalog describes it as a 100% authentic JAPAN figure dispatched directly from Osaka, Japan. When it arrives, check the packaging and any markings against the brand details in the listing. The supplied record does not include a specific authentication mark or serial number, so use the listed brand, series and character as your reference points.

What condition should I expect?

The record lists the condition as great and notes the figure is well packaged for safe delivery. It does not describe the box condition separately, so if sealed packaging matters to you, ask before ordering rather than assuming.

Why does the listing call it rare?

The catalog describes it as rare and ideal for any collection. That is the seller's description, not a production or reissue claim. If you are completing a BoC'z set, treat availability as a reason to decide sooner rather than a guarantee of future scarcity.

Display and care questions for a 20 cm figure

Where should I put it to protect the finish?

Keep it out of direct sun and away from heat sources, and dust it gently rather than scrubbing. The record highlights exquisite craftsmanship, so treat the painted surfaces as the part you want to preserve. The supplied information does not include a specific cleaning product or method, so start with the gentlest approach and avoid solvents.

Can I display it without the box?

Yes, but keep the packaging if you might store or resell it later. The record notes it is well packaged for safe delivery, which makes the original box useful for future transport. There is no supplied instruction requiring you to keep it boxed.

Does it need a stand or base?

The record does not list a base or stand among the supplied components. Check the product photos and ask the seller if a base is included before you plan a display that depends on one.

Who this figure suits

This release fits collectors who follow the Uma Musume BoC'z concert-outfit lineup and want a Hokko Tarumae figure in that styling. At 20 cm it is large enough to read clearly on a shelf without dominating a small display. If you are new to Banpresto Uma Musume figures, compare the listed height and character details with the other figures in your collection before buying, and confirm box condition with the seller if that matters to you.
