Discover the details of the Ichiban Kuji Disney World of Imagination Prize B Ariel Scene Figure, including size, craftsmanship, and whether it's right for your collection.
Quick answer
The Ichiban Kuji Disney World of Imagination Prize B Ariel Scene Figure is a 5.46-inch authentic Bandai figure from Japan, ideal for Disney collectors who value official licensing and detailed craftsmanship over large scale or play features.
Why Prize B matters in this series
The World of Imagination line by Bandai focuses on capturing iconic Disney moments in compact diorama-style figures. Prize B typically represents a key character in a scenic pose, making it a centerpiece for themed displays. Unlike standard prize figures, this series emphasizes scene composition over standalone character statues.
At 14 cm (5.46 inches), the Ariel figure fits well on shelves or desks without dominating the space. Its size is a deliberate trade-off: you get a detailed scene rather than a larger single figure. If you prefer bigger statues, this may feel small, but for collectors curating a shelf of Disney moments, the scale works perfectly.
Authenticity and packaging considerations
This figure is shipped directly from Osaka, Japan, and is described as 100% authentic. The packaging is designed for safe delivery, which is important because delicate parts like Ariel's hair or the base can be fragile. While the box is collector-friendly, it is not a premium display box like those from higher-end statue lines.
One limitation: the exact material (PVC, ABS, etc.) is not listed in the available specs. For buyers who need to know the exact composition for display or safety reasons, this lack of detail may be a drawback. The figure is marketed as "great condition" and authentic, but the absence of material info means you should assume standard Bandai prize-figure plastic.
Decision rules for buying this figure
- Rule 1: Confirm your display space: Measure your shelf or cabinet height. The figure is 14 cm tall, but the base adds width. Allow at least 6 x 6 inches of footprint.
- Rule 2: Verify authenticity expectations: If you require a sealed box or specific factory seal, check with the seller. The product is described as authentic and in great condition, but no factory seal guarantee is stated. Request photos of the actual item if condition details matter to you.
- Rule 3: Compare with other Prize B figures: This is a scene figure, not a standalone character statue. If you prefer a single character in a dynamic pose, look for other Ichiban Kuji prizes. If you want a diorama-style piece, this fits that need.
